About Us

David Lieberthal is an accomplished attorney with over twenty years of experience in various areas of the legal profession. Admitted to the State Bar of California in 2001, David's career is distinguished by his unwavering dedication to excellence in legal practice, estate and business planning, corporate governance, and community service.

David's legal expertise encompasses all aspects of estate and business planning, trust administration, corporate governance, and litigation. David’s trust and estate practice includes all aspects of client consultation, preparation and execution of estate plans, including wills trusts, special needs, property transfers, and trust administration. His extensive experience in corporate governance includes serving as Chief Operating Officer for two companies that provide health and safety laboratory testing in highly regulated industries, as well as serving as Chief Legal Counsel for companies operating slate quarries, solar power generation, and wind power generation projects along the Eastern rim of California’s Central Valley. Additionally, David has contributed his expertise as a Director for several non-profit organizations, including The Torch Foundation, Inc. and several local youth sports teams.

David earned his Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2000. During his studies, he was actively involved with the Pro Bono Law Society and was recognized as both an Oral Advocacy and Mediation Specialist. His law school experience also includes two judicial internships: one with the Los Angeles Superior Court and another with the United States District Court for the Southern District of California.

Prior to law school, David completed his Bachelor of Arts in Economics at the University of California, Irvine. He then interned with the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe, a bicameral bipartisan commission of the United States House of Representatives. In this role, David monitored both U.S. and foreign press for on-the-ground reporting on the conflict in Bosnia-Herzegovina, the emerging states of the former Soviet Union, and related multinational business ventures.

David's commitment to community service is evident through his leadership roles with Conejo Valley Flag Football, YMCA Adventure Guides, and the Grand Lodge of California, Free and Accepted Masons. Among his roles with the Freemasons, he has served as a Lodge Master, a District Inspector, and he has served on the Committees for Jurisprudence and Trial Review, further demonstrating his dedication to the legal profession and his community.
